- The Pretty Things son coetáneos de The Rolling Stones, The Animals, The Who, The Yardbirds…

- ¿Cómo conoció a Mick Jagger y Keith Richards?

Gracias!

Dick Taylor: 'I do not envy the fame of the Stones'' (Interview)

- In the beginning, The Pretty Things called them 'ugly cousins of the Rolling Stones'.

- When we started to gain popularity, the press decided that our image was hairy and wild than the Rolling Stones. I also believe that our music was more raw, so did nothing to dispel that impression.

- What aspirations had a rhythm & blues musician in the sixties and seventies?

- We were big fans of American blues and R & B, and we wanted to play the same music. We realized we did not want to completely copy what we knew we could not imitate, but we try to reinterpret the music he loved so much.

- They lived the emergence of psychedelic drugs. What influenced your music?

- Personally I was very cautious on LSD, but was very much on the scene and alternative music. I heard all kinds of music from Coltrane and Sun Ra to Love and Jefferson Airplane.

- The Pretty Things are contemporaries of The Rolling Stones, The Animals, The Who, The Yardbirds ... Why were not as successful as them?

- Desafortunamdente, we never had a big hit single and also went to the United States, when there was the so-called 'British invasion', but we managed to last much longer than other bands and we are pleased with our status as a cult group. We now sell more records than many others. Our new album is having very good reviews and is selling very well.

- How about that label of cult band?

- It's fantastic that we have so many fans and so many good friends.

- What was their challenge when they founded The Pretty Things?

- Play the music we wanted and have a good time. We have achieved both.

- They composed the first opera rock history, 'SF. Sorrow '(1968).

- Start recording an album for EMI and, at the same time, Phill (May) began writing a story. We had the idea of combining both and everything happened at once.

- What are your best memories of that time?

- The first Isle of Wight Festival (1968), recording at Abbey Road and just be in London at that time.

- What perception society had then rock and roll?

- I think some musicians of our time was considered to be 'outside the law', however, the mood in London was so vibrant it really us, we had our own alternative society. London was a great place to be.

- You were a friend of Jimi Hendrix, what was he like?

- I met Jimi Hendrix a few times and always thought it looked like a very humble though it was the most amazing guitarist of all time kid.

- Do you regret having left the group he formed with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, Little Boy Blue & The Blue Boys?

- It's not something I think about too much, only when someone asks me about it. Looking at it coldly, the question of the Rolling Stones has to do with who we were, when we decided to separate. And honestly, I do not envy them their place, to live with all that fame has to be very oppressive.

- Why did you leave the band?

- He preferred not to play guitar and bass, and I found myself torn between my studies in art school and the band. I realized I was playing in my blood, and that was what caused The Pretty Things. We're still here, so something must be done well.

- Although it is associated to low.

- After the Little Boy Blue & The Blue Boys, I played bass in various projects and our new album I ever touch on a couple of tracks.

¿ How he met Mick Jagger and Keith Richards?

- I went to school with Mick from 11 to 16 years, and coincided with Keith in art school. We started together and the rest is history.

- Do you keep contact with them?

- No, but I met Keith few years ago, and it was great to talk to him. Also I met at a gig with Ronnie Wood and Mick Taylor, and it was fun. I returned to play bass again.

Nos vemos en Febrero 2016? The Rolling Stones en Argentina (Nuestra opiniòn)

See you in February 2016? The Rolling Stones in Argentina (Our opinion)

As we closed the interview with Diego Perri, made a few days ago, waiting for your confirmation to the publication of this notice, and photographic material to be used in parallel with this, we were surprised! The first news, arrivals from Brazil, the site "Pop Load Brasil", the Rolling Stones, they can not make the Latin American tour, on schedule, canceling the set schedule, for the second time in the south of the continent.

Stones Please Don`t Stop trying to be a serious medium; no post date without being officially confirmed.

Since the drafting, together with Diego Perri, we decided the publication of the interview, supporting the thought of the same Diego said, minutes before the note out published: "We're not announcing anything, in fact we put some brakes on much speculation "

We still have doubts about the negotiations in Argentina: the fierce struggle between the producing and wonder:

* When production ends at the Fenix, the contract granting the River Plate stadium? December 2015?
Because if so, you may Studio DG (Daniel Grinbank, force a delay, to redo it, five shows at the River Plate stadium, next year.
* Is the possibility that in 2016, Argentina has another political arena, by the change of government?
* If you no longer continue the tour, in the second half, are enclosed to record new album? (Or at least, Keith's solo album, which they say is already recorded)

The concrete today, beyond "the most wonderful music, that sweetens our ears", besides depriving us, or to delay their arrival, the grounds, the negotiations closures tours, beyond their passion for playing unrivaled music and enjoy us; these negotiations, often difficult, will be impossible to understand, for us fans, who waited patiently for 9 years.

Thanks! : Diego Perri, Jorge Flores and Christian Edge.

Se vienen , se vienen ? ....The Rolling Stones en Argentina (Entrevista a Diego Perri) (*)

Stones Please Don´t Stop:

Bueno, cualquier otra inquietud escribíme, abrazos!!, D.P.

"Stones Please Don`t Stop":
de donde obtuviste la informaciòn ?

Diego Perri:

"Stones Please Don`t Stop":
ok , puedo mencionarte , haciendolo como una entrevista? (utilizo tal cual tus palabras)

Diego Perri:

Are they Coming? Are they coming?.. The Rolling Stones in Argentina (Diego Perri Interview) (*)

"Stones Please Don`t Stop":
Diego, how are you?
There is a lot of information around about The Rolling Stones coming to Argentina and I wish, if posible, a little summary about that what you know to be published in “Stones, Please Don’t Stop blog” Is it possible?

Diego Perri :
- Marce, how are you, dear?
Yes, many things around… I would be more cautious to not to create false hopes. What I knew was that they would come to perform 3 shows in River Plate Stadium  through Fenix and that Daniel Gringbank would be promoting it in Chile and a couple in Montevideo. Anyway there will not be an official announce until the north American tour USA / CANADA  is over on July 15th…. So the official announce would be by ending  july and early august, ok? Well, for any other questions write it to me. Hugs!

"Stones Please Don`t Stop":
May I publish it? Where did you get that information?

Diego Perri :
-Of course you can! But I would be more cautious about creating false hopes. Nothing is for sure until you get an official announcement. I talked to Jane Rose in the USA and she told me that we would meet you soon in Argentina and many people from the environment assured me that the South American tour was a fact…

"Stones Please Don`t Stop":
May I make a mention of you as an interview?

Diego Perri :
Yes, no problem but please, highlight specially that it is not a fact, until there is no an official announcement , don`t cheer  for it! You Understand?

(*) Diego Perri author of "Republic Stone"

recounts his own travel diary, behind and alongside the Rolling Stones, along and across the United States for some Canadian cities, in different parts of Europe, Brazil and also in the three concert tours (Voodoo Lounge, Bridges to Babylon and ABB) that the band gave in Buenos Aires, in the stadium of River Plate. The genesis of this publication were the ochentosos fanzines, and even a biography of the journalist, dedicated to the band a couple of decades ago, and was increasing his personal collection of relics of Their Satanic Majesties.
Diego Perri, currently in United States of America, following the Rolling Stones in their Zip Code tour.
